FDC & Associates architectural division prepared tenant improvement plans for the conversion of a furniture warehouse to a mixed martial arts studio (Adrenaline Gymnasium). The existing 18,121 sq. ft. mix concrete and steel frame building required space analysis and area distribution to effectively accommodate for an octagonal fighting ring, a professional boxing ring, a wrestling mat, stationary exercise bike room, punching bags, and free weights. In order to successfully convert the existing use to the intended use, FDC had to demonstrate that the existing building would meet the increase tenant capacity and energy demands as required by California Building Codes Title 24. FDC associated Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and prepared electrical, energy, mechanical calculations and plumbing plans to meet the bulding code guidelines and further design to include the new bathroom facilities and additional electrical equipment.
